Opus - craft stand

I bought this a few years ago. I was so looking forward to using it. Mine arrived without the mechanism to turn the wing nuts with ease so a small wrench sits by. Then the part that grips the hoop is just not deep enough to properly hold the hoop, it swings down. Then I need to put a weight on the bottom floor stands so it does not topple over so easily. I have made several adjustments plus sewed a weight. Now it is more user friendly.

This stand is still made by hand in the UK and it can therefore come with some imperfections. However, we remember you reported us the lack of the "gadget to tighten the wing nuts"... but referring to the Siesta Frame, not to this stand. And we emailed the UK producer to have them send you that missing piece.... in any case, we're glad to learn you managed to make your Opus Stand more user friendly now.

I was so excited when it came, had no trouble setting it up. Unfortunately the wing nut are difficult to tighten, the little nutter never came. Then I tried to get my hoop to clamp in, it just falls out, slips to the side, I tried everything even contacted the company themselves for hints. They responded but gave no suggestions or help. I would not rethis product.

We'r sorry for the problems you had, mainly because we contacted the manufacturer to have them ship you the missing nutter, and they told us they would have shipped it to you :-( Since they haven't, we will contact them again... but you did not inform us about this before, unfortunately. As for the wing nuts, the wood used to manufacture this item is "soft", so you have to periodically tighten the wing nuts, like in all other similar cases :-) Thanks.

Can I add another 5 stars. I finally figured out how to work with this support and q-snap. Just unscrew the secret lives high up in the center (which I could never understand what is). And almost perfect! I use it for years. But as they have said here it has a little problem with q-snap and even oversize frames. I have a job that I had strength to put on 40x70 frame, most of the work cloth and heavy - then I have to work hard with this support. Indeed, I ruined a bit 'by force of tightening the screws. But Apple carpenter had placed saying that if I continue to shake so hard not last as long. Then I made the decision to continue using the old one while it lasts because I have to finish my job but ... take a new one for other works not so much ingrombranti. Because I love it! Highly recommended!

I have it for many years and know a good strength and good ergonomics (light and snodabilissimo, it assumes any angle, front or side), although the screws, over time, tend to oxidize. Unfortunately for the use that I do not really suitable and should be reported: can not keep well the Q-snap frames. The vice tightens through two screws located right in the middle of the piece of wood, leaving only 2 cm deep where to place the frame. For round frames that have the flat edge and end I think there is no problem, especially since this a groove that helps to block them, but for frames with round profile, such as a problem q-snap. I would just like to know if the lectern prop-it schemes can also be placed on other surfaces than the table (bed, legs ....) if versatile really! I consider myself a poor carpentiera because I had difficulty mounting it: the instructions are very meager and more in English, so I have used the single color image or not. with a few hours of patience I did too, and now recommend a p to all, especially if like me you are often bent on the desk and his back is affected! with the opus I hope eventually to be able to keep your back straight. convenient to use with the QSnap frame! I also took the lectern .. great deal! I do not give a full score only because of inadequate instructions

easy to assemble, comfortable, well supports all the frames I (wooden circles, q-snaps, symphony of course!). I highly recommend it to anyone who is already accustomed to embroider with the frame, does not want to do without it, but it is as I stood in absurd positions to keep on your lap a loom too large or too small, hands and shoulders that after a while they hurt .. and then you want to put the feeling never felt before embroidering with both hands free ?! ;) A tip: if you hear the structure a bit 'wobbly try to tighten all the screws all the way, especially those of the lower part of the support, and try to put us under two strips of felt pads (those for the chair legs) , you will not dondoler most anything!

Fantastic !!! Sets up in about half an hour ... I made it myself !! Fully articulated, it allows you to embroider in a chair with your back against the backrest. Since it also regulates the embroidery height, is not tired even cervical! I have tried putting the q-snap and a frame in a circle ... both remain absolutely firm and you can embroider two hands throughout freedom Really good product. :-)
