I bought all of Filofilò's books and thanks to the commitment and availability of the Cenines, I was able to collect this too. As well described in the presentation, it is an autobiography of the embroiderer/author, partly already known through Giuliana's website. What left me dismayed was learning, at the end of the reading, that Giuliana passed away in 2017, in fact the book is edited by her husband, Vito. One more reason to collect this and all the others by Giuliana, a valuable teacher who leaves a void in the world of embroidery as an art..

The box itself seems decent but the bobbins are horrible. They were a complete mess not usable with all the imperfections left from making them. Yes it is less than the DMC version but then I still have to buy bobbins that will be better quality. Not at all the quality I expected... Staff: Hi and thanks for your review. We always try to deliver the best quality at the most reasonable price, but there can always be some imperfections, even in quality products, unfortunately :( But, please, consider that the DMC box costs almost 40% more and it includes floss bobbins made of cardboard, so we can't compare the two items. Kind regards.

I have used them over& over again .
They are really lovely to use as a guide if you fall in LOVE with this Style of Embroidery...

Very cute, unfortunately the Aida fabric is very very fine (in the sense that it will be 72 holes) and I'm having a bit of trouble embroidering... It should have been a quick embroidery with the name... It would be better to specify it in the presentation of the product.. Staff: Aggiornamento dallo Staff di Casa Cenina
Ciao, come promesso abbiamo interpellato direttamente Filet, il produttore di questo bavaglino e riportiamo qui sotto la loro risposta, per totale trasparenza:
Per l’articolo viene utilizzata tela aida in nastro, che acquistiamo sempre dallo stesso fornitore che produce solo una tipologia di aida in nastro. Visivamente sembra più fitta rispetto a quella del tessuto che tagliamo per altri bavaglini/articoli da ricamare, tuttavia prima di rispondervi abbiamo misurato alcuni bavaglini dell’art. 716 pronti a magazzino e alcuni nastri dell’ultimo lotto ricevuto dal fornitore e confermo che proporzionalmente risultano 55 fori in 10 cm.

The scheme itself is nice but alas it will remain a dream to be able to embroider it...
