Abécédaire Redouté

I join the chorus of thanks to the Author for this splendid pattern! Made with silk threads, kindly converted from cotton in this blog. I embroidered with DMC cotton only the alphabet, because the silk was fraying (perhaps because of the summer heat). Framed without passe-partout with a large frame, lacquered mud and silver. Very refined!!!..

Similar to the Q Snap, available in different colors. I bought it with the matching fabric frame cover. I like it, especially for embroidery on towels or bulky fabrics...

The book is very beautiful, with drawings by Hélène Le Berre made in her style, inspired by Japan. However, the book seems more "sparse" than others in this series..

Cork Fabric - Grain 10

Gorgeous fabric, very soft and warm in color. It would be helpful to know how to care for it, because it arrived folded and I wouldn't want to ruin it by ironing, even at a low temperature. The back is dark hazelnut in slightly plush fabric, it doesn't need to be lined, it's beautiful like this. I'll buy the other versions too!..

Staff: Hello and thank you for your review! The cork fabric is not washable, but can be cleaned by wiping it with a damp cloth and ironing is not recommended, although on the cotton side (the hazelnut colored one), you can iron it at low temperature, protecting it with a cloth placed on top, so that the iron is not in direct contact with the fabric. See you soon.

The beauty of the finished work is the only quality of this product. I'm very sorry, but the rest are just defects, you work with 3 threads on a perforated wooden board, so, since the holes are very small, you need to stock up on dozens of needles because the eyes break, then it becomes very difficult to fix the thread at the beginning and at the end, because the needle gets stuck and to push it in and out you have to use pliers, being careful not to hurt yourself. Last but not least (and this is really what bothered me the most), in the face of a rather high price, you also have to "clean" the holes by first passing them with the white thread, because otherwise the light-colored threads get dirty, because the perforation of the wood releases black pigment. I do not recommend it...

Winter White Santa (MD100)

Very elegant! Not quick to make but extremely effective. I replaced the linen with a Zweigart Belfast of a similar color, because the one recommended was, in my opinion, less soft. I was lucky because I was able to use all the yarns, charms and beads provided. With a silver frame and a white passe-partout it is truly splendid!..
