African Lady

I love this portrait! Beware, though the kit states it contains DMC cotton floss, the individual strands are thinner than what is found in regular DMC skeins available in the USA. The black fabric is very visible through the stitching even when stitched using a laying tool. I prefer more coverage and ended up buying individual DMC skeins to elimated the problem. Although this project has cost me more money by buying addional threads I think it is well worth purchasing the kit. I've even decided to start again and I'mnow stitching on 28 count black Cashel linen. Looks great.
