This spun 100% silk thread has silk's beauty, luster, and shine, but doesn't catch on your hands. The size of one strand is comparable to other stranded silks, such as Splendor©, and Soie d'Alger©.
PLEASE NOTE: the new 6-yard skeins of Gloriana Silk Floss have replaced the old 4-yard skeins, discontinued by the manufacturer at the end of 2024. In the new 6-yard skeins (coming in 3 pieces, each of 2 yards) the floss is untwisted, thus allowing stitchers to see the variegation of the colors more readily. The new skeins are no longer knotted so the thread is easier to remove from the card.
