The Italian Embroidery according to Fiorella Collection
Casa Cenina keep on diffusing and sharing the projects and the techniques of the Italian embroidery. With this aim, the collaboration between with Fiorella Gaggi Garonetti of the
Fiorella Collection is born and the products of such a collaboration are the following booklets:
Catherine de' Medicis - Cushion Ricciolo e
Casalguidi Embroidery - Wall organizer Manuela.
In these products (available also in French and Italian), you can find the explications and instructions to create two precious objects according to two old Italian Embroidery techniques. Tradition and modernity are melted in these projects aimed at guiding you in the big world of embroidery and cross-stitching. More specifically the
Casalguidi technique is typical for its decoration: sticks, grape, little leaves, butterflies etc. All by recurring to specific stitches like the
gigliuccio (alle the instructions for the stitches are inside each booklet). By contrast, the
Catherine de' Medicis is famous for the employed stitches: running stitch, little chain, picots.
Both the projects contain colorful pictures which show the stitches and the final result of the work. Noreover, there is also the list of the necessary accessories to create each object: threads, fabrics and tools.
With these two books we keep on discovering the rich world of the Italian embroidery, "by paying the maximum of attention to the respect of its authenticity" as stated by Fiorella herself.
