Some pictures of the Event!
Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of April we are happy to invite all of you to the… Festa del Ricamo 2011!
This year the traditional event by Casa Cenina gets doubled since an entire day will be dedicated to lessons and advices on the work of our guests that this year are:
- Marie-Thérèse Saint-Aubin
once again our guest after the 2009 edition, here is the popular French designer with her elegant and stylish embroidery.
It will be a pleasure to participate to her demonstration of the peinture à l'aiguille and directly understand how she transforms a hand-sketched pattern into a chart.
For further details on the demonstration and to book a place click here.
- McKenna Ryan
who better than an American can explain to us the patchwork? And who better than McKenna can do it?
Rightly considered one of the most celebrated designers of this sector, McKenna will bring to Casa Cenina her happiness and the thousand colors of her fabrics.
Together with her we will create a fantastic 30x30 cm quilt block to decorate any creation our fantasy suggests.

- Alessandra Caputo

macramè).
The participants of her class will make a heart decorated by a charms as to learn the very first steps of the bobbin lace technique.

And a lot of surprises are waiting for all our friends who will come and meet us on this special occasion!
A unique chance to meet in person these beloved authors, to see their works and, why not, to ask them an autograph, to make some pictures with them to remember this experience forever.
This event is a wonderful occasion to meet these popular designers, to meet them in person and to closely admire their creations, by learning directly from them their techniques and little secrets.
The event is completely free and it will take place, as usual, at the Relais Santa Flora, a typical Tuscan villa near Arezzo.
The classes by McKenna and Alessandra, as well as the demonstration by Marie-Thèrése will be held on Saturday in the afternoon.
The participation to the classed and the demonstration is limited to a specific and closed number of people - read here the rules to participate.
Aware of the fact that we cannot satisfy all the requests we will receive, for evident motifs related to the available space, we will prepare a summary about the classes and the demonstration we will publish after the Festa.
