Cross Stitch: some hints for beginners
To those who start embroidering for the first time, we suggest to begin with little creations. Obtaining a good embroidery in a very short time cannot but be a real push for your first cross-stitch embroidery!
We are often asked if we have in our catalog some guides for beginners or some classes on video or pc in order to better understand how we embroider. Of course, there are some very useful books like
Ricamare a Punto Croce and
Corso rapido di Punto Croce, but "working on the field" is the best way to learn the different embroidery techniques. Furthermore, each chart and/or kit has always its own instructions and graphics with symbols (colored or black and white) which explain in detail how to execute the necessary stitches. If you have still some doubts, do not hesitate to read our articles in Italian:
Imparare il punto croce in pochi minuti and
Divertirsi realizzando lavori perfetto.
Above all, if you are young embroiderers willing to imitate your mothers and grand-mothers, you can start with some simple but nice letters like this one:
Carica dei 101. Why don't you combine them in order to create names or words? Get your embroideries more difficult progressively, by stitching some geometrical figures, flowers or little motifs. Some good examples are the kits by
Permin of Copenhagen, like this
House or this nice
Ladybug.
In front of the TV or just listening to music, you can relax and embroider a bit after an entire day spent on books!
