The canvas is very stiff and there is very little cross stitch… .it is almost all half stitch

Hello and thank you for your review :-) The canvas can be stiff, because it is mercerized and \ "primed \" for use in kits, just to facilitate embroidery (embroidering on a \ "floppy \" canvas is very less smooth and often results in irregular cross stitches, unfortunately). As for the half stitch, in fact Dimensions often uses it in its cross stitch kits, to give \ "depth \" to the embroidery. But the cross stitch is always preponderant
