Hi Folks!
So, here is the Fall… Our calendars have made it "official" since last Saturday: the Summer is over... And, if it's true that Autumn makes us all little sadder - with its falling leaves, the days getting shorter and shorter and the first cold temperatures re-appearing - it's certainly as true that this new season has its positive aspects, too
Just to make an example,
Halloween, the Fall celebration par excellence, which we have "adopted" here in Europe, too, for long!
And, with Halloween, its witches and pumpkins, along with its
Old America haunted houses, it comes automatically to think of the so-called
Primitive style that, just like this feast day imported from the USA, is conquering more and more followers in our Old Continent as well! Standing out for its simplicity - mirroring the past time, which it is inspired to - the Primitive expresses all its spell just in this clear reference to the
obliged sense of measure of the human life in ancient times, to the few comforts then available: some pieces of fabrics taken here and there, some threads, probably dyed with vegetal colors, the feeble light of candles and the warmth of a fireplace. So, could there ever be a better way to get to know this style better, than with the help of one of its undisputed protagonists?!???!!
Casa Cenina is proud and delighted to introduce you to a day with Stacy Nash: the designer who is the uncontested reference point of this appealing art!
On Sunday October 27th 2013, this American artist - coming to Italy for her very first time! - is going to be our welcome guest: after turning the Primitive into something much further than a simple "memory of the past", to create a new fashion upon, with all the amazing taste and ability that only true, passion-driven people are capable of, Stacy has chosen Casa Cenina to meet her European fans, to dedicate you her time and share with you her passion; to guide you through her little tricks and "primitive" secrets, as well as to sign and personalize you her works, such as
her latest book, released just a few weeks ago and already so successful ... And, for sure, to give you a whole lot of inspiration!!!
Stacy, we're more than convinced, will be able to personally spread to you all the emotions of this style - focusing so much on the warmth that those old, simple things always spread themselves (just think of those things coming from our
"grandma's stash", or discovered by chance in some kind of old and dusty attic): for the attitude of the Primitive is probably the closest one to the typical characteristics of Fall: its slightly gloomy - though so warm - shades; its often cloudy and foggy - though so entrancing - atmospheres.
So, save the date!
Sunday, October 27th:
Stacy Nash will be waiting for you at Casa Cenina And, in the meantime, may you all start "foretasting" this unbelievable - but 100% true! - Fall surprise!!!
Hear from us soon with further details and updates

Aunque no podré estar en ese encuentro, me encanta Stacy Nash, el primitive en general y también el otoño...
Espero que nos contéis el encuentro cuando haya tenido lugar.
Un abrazo,
Cristina.

I love this book! Bought it from Casa Cenina as soon as they had it! One worry - I read that there are many mistakes and that the book has been reprinted (I have one of the first printings) and customers are having a replacement. Can you find out if this is correct please, and how do I go about obtaining my replacement?
Have a wonderful weekend and please tell her how wonderful her designs are and how much I have enjoyed stitching them!
Thank you so much!
Maggie Godfrey
