International Earth Day 2023

Our weekend for our Earth.

In 1854, a Chief Seattle Native American wrote to the 14th US President: “... This we know: The earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. Man did not weave the web of life: he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

The metaphor with web and strands, of course, touches us particularly… but even more, it strikes us that those words - so heartfelt and true - are still so actual, even though almost two centuries have gone by since they were written. These words deserve to still inspire us, even more these days, considering that on Saturday April 22nd it’s Earth Day 2023.
