Hi there!
Less than one week to our great event and... There's no time left even to "breath", sometimes, but that's fair, after all! However, let's just take some time to sum up, somehow, while waiting for our wonderful guest,
Nora Corbett, to reach us and be the protagonist of this
8th "Festa del Ricamo" of ours!
Casa Cenina have recently celebrated their first ten years and we have organized this event for eight of them, for - right from the start - we've always wanted our "
Casa" to be more than a mere online store: we've always wanted it to be a meeting point, able to make you feel closer to each others, while surfing our website every day, as well as to give you the opportunity of meeting "live" the most important characters of this industry, both allowing this extraordinary "machine" to work day by day.
No matter if this
8th "Festival" is being held out of its usual seat... After all, also one of our very first meetings with another definitely famous American designers -
Linda, from Lizzie Kate, do you remember? - took place quite far away from Arezzo: it was in the year 2007 and we all met in Milan!
Once again, the spirit behind this new edition of our event will be revolving around our guest
Nora, who represents, to us, the most suitable "
crowning achievement" of these years shared with amazing guests, not only for their deserved fame, but for their willingness, often to cross the Atlantic (and, to some extent, like in a "blind date", just trusting our little, in comparison to theirs, fame) to join us from the USA, as done by
Joan Elliott,
Sharon Crescent from Crescent Colours and
Cynthia Zittel from The Drawn Thread,
McKenna Ryan from Pine Needles and
Stacy Nash and just like, in a very few days, the exceptionally gifted designer of
Mirabilia is going to do!
But we do want to thank you all the other ones who have "simply" crossed the Alps or the Channel, for us, like
Hellen Maurer-Stroh,
Isabelle Vautier and
Marie Therese Saint Aubin,
Marie Suarez,
Isabelle Mazabraud from Reflets de Soie,
Annaick Chauvel from Nimue and
Karin Kersten from Beardie Designs, as well as
Michael Powell,
Kate Hoyle from Bothy Threads and
Susan and Joanne from The Historical Sampler.
And, of course, the same "thank you" goes to our prestigious Italian guests, such as
Paola Alessio Barello,
Giulia Manfredini from Giulia Punti Antichi,
Renato Parolin,
Maria Concetta Ronchetti,
Nicoletta Farrauto from Nicky's Creation and... Many more, whom we had the true pleasure to meet personally!
This
8th edition of our "Festa del Ricamo" is meant to be in the sign of the same spirit of sharing, even though different from all the previous ones, since held together with the very first edition of the consumer fair called "
Festival delle Arti Manuali" - an exhibition that we want to grow with you all, out there
So, see you soon... To party together
