100% cotton from Aurifil, made of 2 twisted plies, delivering a weighty thread that’s ideal for any crafting project requiring a remarkable visual effect. It can be used for hand appliqué, hand embroidery, hand quilting, cross stitch, embellishment and lace, as well as for machine appliqué, blanket stitch, buttonhole stitch, machine embroidery, machine art quilting, even with longarm machines. Very suitable for Sashiko and redwork, too. When using 12wt thread by machine, we recommend using a much thinner thread in the bobbin (like Aurifil 40wt). While if used in a longarm machine, please quilt slowly, using a longer stitch and silicone conditioner where necessary.
