A nice holiday in Tuscany
This time our post is not about embroidery or patchwork.
Today we actually want to talk about our region, Tuscany, which is usually associated to country scenes: sunflowers fields and lonely trees on sunny hills. But our land is beautiful all the year long, not only in summer! So, why do not you come and visit us at the beginning of December? The
Casentino with its woods is ideal for some pleasant autumn walks with children, in order to make them discover the treasures of nature and to find the inspiration for Christmas gifts. Not the ordinary accessories you can buy in all supermarkets, but some nice gifts made by our children and us with the materials collected in the wood.

Le Firme del Punto Croce: I Quaderni di Caterina - Tuscan Memories
A great new publication is waiting for you at "Le Firme del Punto Croce" in Abilmente Vicenza!!!
In our stand we will have the honor to present a new book in world première.
It's the first volume of the collection called
I Quaderni di Caterina which gathers the creations on specific themes signed by the most important cross-stitching authors reunited once a year. Differently from the well-known
Christmas Ornaments (the American review that each year collects the works by several authors on Christmas) "the theme" shared by the works of each designer will be different publication after publication.
The theme of this first publication is
Tuscan Memories (
I Quaderni di Caterina: Tuscan Memories). The book contains 9 new projects by the most loved cross-stitching designers. These artists have been inspired by the region where Casa Cenina is. Country villas, hills, sunflower fields: these are the subjects to embroider as to create some wonderful pictures to hang on the walls of your house, pillows, pochettes and even a post-card!
